Opportunity
Design-educator Michael Bierut’s 100-Day Project has inspired countless designers and people around the world to create brilliant work. As a master’s student in Debbie Millman’s Branding Program at New York’s School of Visual Arts, we were invited to craft our own 100-day project that connected with a human truth, an intriguing topic, or a personal passion.

Project
Having just moved to Manhattan, I was eager to explore the city and curious about every detail I witnessed along my journey. For 100 days, I decided to venture around New York, taking photographs of anything that caught my eye – from architectural details to natural elements to seemingly mundane objects. The shapes, textures, and colours in these photographs inspired me to create a pattern design each day.

The project culminated in a final curated catalogue of my patterning journey, containing a new way of examining the quintessential details of New York City.

You can view a selection of the project below, and the entire project collection on Instagram.
